It’s Tuesday already? Where is the time going? I feel like it’s flying by, but at the same time, March was the LONGEST MONTH EVER!! It seemed as though it would never end! Surely April has GOT to be better! Continue reading “March – In Like a Lion, Out Like a Nutter”
The Plague Continues
How are you? Are you stuck inside? Do you have enough bread? Milk? Toilet paper?
The county I live in has issued a “Shelter in place” order, but since I work for a health care system, I’m still going to work every day. I think M and I being together all day/every day in the same house would get to be a bit much. Continue reading “The Plague Continues”
As the World Turns
All good things must come to an end, and so it was with my solo vacation. M and his traveling companions came home a day early (on Thursday) last week and I have to admit – I was ready for him to be back. Continue reading “As the World Turns”
L-O-N-G Distance
M and I are giving new meaning to the term “social distance” – about 665 miles, give or take.
That’s right – he and his brother are in FL for the week! His brother (and friends) drove down from MD on Friday and then they all got in the car and made the drive to FL on Saturday. I was SO GLAD I couldn’t go with them! Being in the car for that long REALLY would have been the end of me. Continue reading “L-O-N-G Distance”
M had his weekly bowling again last night.
He really seems to enjoy it and is one of the better bowlers on his team. The only issue is, he doesn’t pay attention to his teammates or the opposing team as they’re bowling, so he doesn’t participate when they’re all congratulating each other or giving high fives for a good round. Continue reading “”
Orange is the New Chair
When M and I decided to remodel our kitchen three years ago, my original plan was to have a seating space with bookcases and a place for a small TV. As the building (and costs) went forward, things changed as they always do, and my seating space became more cabinets and storage. Continue reading “Orange is the New Chair”
How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?
You would think, or at least I think, after all this time and all we’ve been through with M and his disease progression, that it simply couldn’t break my heart any more. That all the tears had been shed and we were moving on. Continue reading “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?”
Where Do All the People Go?
One thing I have noticed, since M’s diagnosis, is that once you let people know you have something like this going on in your life, a great many of them scatter to the four winds – never to be seen or heard from again. Even your own family members. Continue reading “Where Do All the People Go?”
Okay – This Rain Can STOP!
I really haven’t fallen off the face of the earth – just CRAZY busy at work and at home. I don’t know WHY everyone seems to need my attention lately, but really . . . this can end any time now. Continue reading “Okay – This Rain Can STOP!”
