I really haven’t fallen off the face of the earth – just CRAZY busy at work and at home. I don’t know WHY everyone seems to need my attention lately, but really . . . this can end any time now.
M was on fire again last night. A transformer blew out in our neighborhood at some point during the day, which cut off our electricity for a while. When the power came back on, several clocks needed to be reset, including the one beside his bed. As I was getting dressed for bed, I saw him with the clock in his hands, working on that.
An hour later, as I was turning out the lights, I saw his clock was still flashing the number of hours it had been since the lights had come back on. Evidently, he had given up on the clock and just put it back down. Sigh.
This morning, our cable was STILL out, so I left him on hold with the cable company to talk to them about the issue. He called me while I was at lunch – I don’t know why he always seems to call at noon, when I’m out of the office and he always calls twice. Anyway, I called him back and he had gotten the cable issue resolved! He was so proud of himself, he was practically shouting on the phone.
Yay! Another win for the home team!
I’m really tired of all these winter/spring showers we’ve been having. This rain can stop now. Sending out prayers and hugs to anyone in the Nashville area affected by last night’s storms.
