Frosty Mornings

I know there are parts of the country that have already had snow – and I’m insanely jealous!! – but we had our first frosty mornings this weekend and I was so happy. I don’t like being hot and I always figure I can put on more clothes if I’m cold. We’re getting into my favorite time of year!

I met with the counselor Saturday and I felt really good about it. It was interesting – our last appointment was in March, so it’s been at least seven months since I’ve seen her. She said that she’s thought about me during that time and wondered how I was doing. I never thought about counselors doing that – although I know I would. It was good to talk about some of the things that have been going on and to get some validation on how I’ve been feeling about everything. I’m really glad I went back and I appreciate the friends who suggested it.

While I was meeting with the counselor, M was playing golf with a friend! I was really excited, because I knew that I would have at least 2 – 3 hours after my appointment to shop or hang out until he got home. So, I was in World Market, looking at Christmas presents for the grandkids when my phone rang (it hadn’t been an hour) and it was M, wanting to know where I was. He was home!

WHAT?!?!?

He swears and declares that he and his friend played 18 holes in the less than 2 hours they were at the golf course, but unless they were riding around in the cart and hitting the ball as they leaned over the side of the cart and then raced the cart after it – there is NO WAY!! A round of golf takes AT LEAST four hours – particularly on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Whatever – he was there, wanting me home so we could go see another friend’s new auto repair shop open house. So that’s what we did.

I’m also noticing that, now that he isn’t going to work during the week, he isn’t keeping up with what day of the week it is.

I can’t wait until that’s MY life!!
