Today is THE DAY!! We celebrate M and his 28 years with his employer. I’m really excited for him – and I think he is, too. Continue reading “It’s a CELEBRATION!”
Surfin’ USA
M and I had a funny thing happen over the weekend – as we were driving back from the store, he mentioned all the houses near us that had solar panels on the roof. We have talked, in the past, about getting solar panels, but haven’t done much beyond talking about it. Continue reading “Surfin’ USA”
I Don’t Like This
I joined a Facebook group for caregivers of people with dementia and had hoped it would be a good place to learn about options that are out there for us and things I didn’t know about. But all I seem to see and read are horror stories. Continue reading “I Don’t Like This”
After the Rain
I left the office feeling really good yesterday. The day had been rainy, but the sun was out and it was going to be a good evening. M and my dad were out to dinner. I was going to have some time alone at home to decompress and relax. Continue reading “After the Rain”
Somebody’s Watching Me
About a year ago, when M was still working full time and our house was empty during the day, we purchased three Wyze security cameras. They’re very easy to install, but you have to have an outlet near them as a power source. Continue reading “Somebody’s Watching Me”
Now That’s a Fire!
As much as I enjoy weekends – and I do – there is something about them that is so challenging.
Friday night, as we were sitting in our den to watch the baseball game, it was 63 degrees in the house. Continue reading “Now That’s a Fire!”
Sew What?
I recently joined a Facebook group for caregivers of people with dementia. A lot of the people on there are caring for folks who are in their 80s and 90s, but some of them are in the same situation I am in; caring for someone who is WAY too young to be dealing with this horrible disease. Continue reading “Sew What?”
To Explore New Worlds and New Civilizations
The fact that I know the title comes from the beginning of “Star Trek” is worrying to me. It tells me I’ve been forced to watch WAY too many episodes of the show and the movies and someone, who lives at my house with the first initial M, needs to stop! Continue reading “To Explore New Worlds and New Civilizations”
I Want my MTV
I feel like a real detective today – I finally solved a mystery.
I’ve been wondering why M is so attached to his playlist of ‘80s songs and why he sits in his chair, every evening, with his headphones on and listens to music, even though we’re watching something he has expressed an interest in seeing. I haven’t solved THAT mystery, and I don’t think I ever will. Continue reading “I Want my MTV”
Happy Days Are Here Again!
I thought I had nothing to write about today . . . M and I had an uneventful evening last night and nothing much has been happening.
And then the phone rang this afternoon.
