When I left the house Friday, M was concerned because he hadn’t remembered it was Valentine’s day, so I told him NOT to go buy me anything, but to pick me some daffodils from the yard. When I got home from work, he asked if I had noticed my surprise out through the kitchen window. Continue reading “A Daffodil by Any Other Name”
Get Outta the House!
Happy Valentine’s Day 2020!
M has always been a big proponent of greeting cards – he LOVES to give and receive cards for every special occasion, so I made sure I had a couple of Valentine’s cards for him this morning. The NC Zoo had the cutest cards, featuring some of the zoo animals, free to download and print. I did that for him and they were adorable! Continue reading “Get Outta the House!”
12 Minutes to Change Your Life
Yesterday, a friend linked to a video from several years ago that was AMAZINGLY eye opening. It was a news report from Night Line, if that gives you some idea how old it was. Continue reading “12 Minutes to Change Your Life”
One Pill Makes You Bigger . . .
Supplements . . . vitamins . . . minerals . . . oh my!
The additional supplements I ordered for M as a part of his “The End of Alzheimer’s” regimen finally came in, so I have him all set up to take them throughout the day. Continue reading “One Pill Makes You Bigger . . .”
Video Killed the Radio Star
When I first met M, he was in the Air Force (yes, it was the uniform that sealed the deal!) and he had made two big purchases that he made payments on each month. His car, which was nice, but I really don’t remember what it was. And a stereo system. Continue reading “Video Killed the Radio Star”
Gratitude IS an Attitude
One of the things I find myself most grateful for lately is uneventful days. If M and I have an uneventful day and/or evening, instead of thinking “wow, this was a really boring day” or “that’s sad, nothing exciting happened today,” I’m happy for days like that. I can’t say those days are normal, in the way days used to be, but maybe they’re not so bad. Continue reading “Gratitude IS an Attitude”
And Now for Something Really Special
I did it! Yesterday, I was able to meet with the attorney my financial adviser recommended – and WOW! What a difference!
The advice he gave me is the polar opposite of the advice I received last week. Continue reading “And Now for Something Really Special”
Where is That Money Tree?
I am in the wrong business, all together.
My brother and I had a very good meeting at the attorney’s office yesterday. Very informative. Learned a lot. We were given good information. I certainly appreciated their expertise. Continue reading “Where is That Money Tree?”
Law and Order
You know, as soon as you see that logo, there’s a certain sound that echos through your brain. You can’t help it! Continue reading “Law and Order”
Take A Deep Breath
Some days are fun. Some days most definitely are not.
And yesterday was not. Oh man. I don’t know what was going on, but M and I were on COMPLETELY different wavelengths. Continue reading “Take A Deep Breath”
